petra cerne oven „slovene graphic design: how living at a cultural crossroad influences visual communications” after receiving an ma from the department of typography & graphic communication at the university of reading (uk) in 1998, she was awarded a phd at the same department in 2004 for her thesis titled „the development of special characters in slavonic languages: with emphasis on the orthographic reforms in slovenian and croatian language”. petra presents regularly at international conferences and has amongst others published in eye, 2+3d, hyphen, emzin, klik, marketing magazin, oris, ampak, art.si and delo. she currently works with paul stiff on a research project „the optimism of modernity” at the department of typography & graphic communication at reading university. |
